This was a very busy term; we had a lot to pack into an unusually short term but we had plenty of fun doing it.
The children harvested silver beet, cabbage, broad beans, pepinos, tomatoes, strawberries and celery from our garden.
We had a visit from a travelling theatre company at the beginning of November. Their production of a puppet show called “Paper Plays” was enthusiastically received by the children.
We also held Parent Teacher Interviews, particularly for the benefit of any working parents who are not able to talk with the teachers about their child during the school day, we have hosted three days of Plunket B4 School Checks and also Hearing and Vision screening tests.
On 16 November we held a Parent Evening for all our current and waiting list parents with a special guest speaker.
At an end of year concert the children performed for their families and friends and also visited the Whitby Rest Home and Hospital to sing for the elderly residents there in mid-December. For our final event, a Family Picnic at Endeavour Park was rained out and we squeezed ourselves into the Western Suburbs Soccer Club for our picnic lunch!Back
