This year the children and their families were given the opportunity to be part of Keep New Zealand Beautiful Week by planting griselinia, corokia and harakeke along the front and western side of the school.
Each family that purchased a tree had a tag on their plant on which their family name was printed. Together the children and their families can watch their plant grow over years to come. The children joined in the planting and loved being part of beautifying Mana Montessori and our planet.
For families who didn’t have time for planting, members of the management committee did this with the children.
